Pisina Beach (also known as Blue Lagoon) is one of the most famous, impressive and photographed beaches in Sivota, Thesprotia. It owes its name to its incredibly clear, turquoise and crystal clear waters, which give the feeling that you are swimming in a natural pool.

Where it is: It is located on the uninhabited islet of Mavronoros (or Mourtos), right across from the port in Sivota.
The landscape: It combines white sand, fine pebbles and lush vegetation that reaches almost to the water.
Bottom: It is ideal for snorkeling, as the visibility is perfect and you will see many small fish swimming next to you.
How to get there (Access)
Access to the beach is exclusively by sea, as there is no road network on the island:
By Taxi Boat / Karavaki: Water taxis depart daily from the port of Sivota. They drop you off at the shore and return to pick you up after a predetermined time (scheduled departures usually every 30–40 minutes). The cost of the return trip ranges from approximately €10 – €12.50 per person.
Rent a Private Boat: You can rent a small motorboat (for which a license is not required) from Sivota. This gives you the freedom to stay as long as you want and explore the surrounding hidden beaches of the islets.
Organized Cruises: Many tourist boats from Sivota, Parga or even Corfu offer day trips with a stop for a swim in the swimming pool.
Useful Tips for your visit
Unorganized: The beach is completely unspoiled. It does not have sunbeds, umbrellas, a beach bar or a canteen. You should definitely take water, coffee and snacks with you.
Natural Shade: The large rocks and vegetation at the back of the beach offer natural shade, mainly during the morning and early afternoon hours.
Crowding: Due to its great reputation, the beach is suffocatingly filled with boats and people between 11:00 and 15:00 in the summer months (mainly in July and August).
Best time: To enjoy the scenery in its tranquility, prefer to go very early in the morning (before 10:30) or late in the afternoon (after 15:30–16:00), when the large tourist boats leave.
